Blowing Springs Park is one of the dazzling parks of NWA, specifically Bella Vista. No guessing, its all plain and simple. VERY WELL maintained trail. 2.6 km Please explain. Trail style also varies greatly, and as a result the trails range from flow trails to rooty, ledgy, unmaintained singletrack. There are 200 feet of elevation change in the park. Progressive Trail Design, based out of Northwest Arkansas, has done a fabulous job designing this trail. Keep it a family-friendly stroll or get a work out in along this pick-your-own adventure. The park does a good job with mileage posts but route finding for out of towners can be a challenge with spur trails leading off the main loops. Spam? The rolling contour trails range from two to three feet wide. Great trail, and this trail can connect to the back 40/other trails for a longer ride. The trail is the northern-most part of Northwest Arkansas'Razorback Regional Greenway, a 46-mile, primarily off-road, shared-use trail that extends from Bella Vista to the southern edge of Fayetteville. Not knowing what to expect from this new trail, I soon found out that Blowing Springs was going to be an absolute treat. I tend to rip that little loop a few times by itself to get the smile going. It is full of flowing singletrack and provides great views from both above and below the bluffs. Although the trail system does include a few short, rocky sections scattered here and there, most of the terrain consists mainly of very smooth, flowing singletrack. A paved trail connect to Slaughter Pen so there is plenty of riding time if u get bored. Part of trail goes along a bluff and you actually ride on rock with rock ledges over you. It's fun. She loves exploring the trails around the Buffalo National River and has yet to find a waterfall that wasn't her favorite. Great flowing trail with a number of good drop options. 184' Up 4mi, Some definite technical sections above my ability but I walked those and then kept riding. Widgets, Explore 4mi, Nice flow Trail. This section loops back to blowing springs if you take all rights. There were a couple icy patches at the beginning of the hike, where we contemplated turning around, but powered through and was rewarded with less icy, more crunchy snow, and beautiful nature. Pack a picnic to extend your walk into the afternoon or even stay longer! The trails here are great for hiking, too, and there are caves to explore. My riding partner accidentally went left off this drop and ended up over the handle bars. Maps available will show some black diamond trails, but I wouldn't say anything here was overly difficult. The north side has a little climbing, nothing really intense and the descents are reasonably flowy with a few nice rocks/drops to go off of. The trail was terrific. Easy to hook up with back-40 trails for some serious riding. Would also be good to trail run since there were plenty of flat sections.
